January 20 2021, Greenlights Music releases their newest album "The Art of Poise". Their last release “Space Craft” , dropped on July 17 2020.

After a finishing the project "Space Craft" and still living/performing under conditions influenced by Covid 19, the Greenlights Music crew decided to “stay creative” and move on to the next project. RP (Greenlights Music Producer) wanted to go a different and new direction with the production of the next project so he called up an old friend.

Alo is one of the foundations of hiphop music in Chicago. https://alochicago.bandcamp.com Known in the underground scene as one of the best and most accomplished producers of his time, Alo now puts his fingerprint on Greenlights Music. What started as a EP collaboration, became a collective album. Both sides decided they could embrace what the other was bringing to the creation. Something clicked.

The album itself is a tribute to boom-bap hiphop in its most traditional form. Alo’s production is striking. Hard drums, exquisitely selected samples, and ominous synths make this album a HipHop symphony of sound, spirit, and lyrics. Greenlights Music consists of many different emcees who’s voices and dialogue work perfectly with each track. Also, Greenlights Music is known for the beautiful soul singer Willow Wells who blesses many songs with her amazing vocal range. On this particular project Bob Rok, Chicago Emcee/Comic, is also featured on several tracks and brings his witty style and flow to the Greenlights family. Each track has themes based on hiphop culture, politics, and current social issues. Not your “mainstream” rap or trap music we are used to today, but something more retro sounding with high caliber emcees and powerful vocals.
